What Is An MRI?
Detailed Imaging, Without Radiation
MRI, or magnetic resonance imaging, uses a powerful magnetic field, radio waves and advanced computer technology to create highly detailed images of the inside of the body.
Unlike X-rays and CT scans, MRI does not use ionising radiation. It is particularly useful for examining soft tissue, including muscles, ligaments, nerves, organs and the brain.
Before your scan, our team will ask important safety questions about any implants, medical devices, metal fragments or previous surgery. You will receive clear instructions to help you prepare for your appointment.
WHEN MIGHT I NEED AN MRI?
